Religion and mythology of the pagan Slavs
The religion and the mythology of the Pagan Slavs are poorly known to non-Slavist scholars. Although some major studies on folklore have been published in French or in English, the synthesis concerning paganism itself are rare and old.
The French editions Lingva (www.lingva.fr) would like to try to remedy this by publishing a collection of recent essays in English.
To be accepted, these articles must meet a series of criteria:
– they must be written in English;
– they must be unpublished in English (but they may have been previously published in another language);
– they must concern in the first place the religion and the mythology of the pagan Slavs. It is of course possible to refer to folklore, but only to the extent that it confirms old data;
– texts based on archaeological discoveries are welcome;
– any form of neo-paganism is excluded.
There is no size limit and iconography is welcome. The texts must be accompanied by an abstract and keywords in English and in the language of the author’s choice.
Each author will receive a copy of the book and the pdf file of his article.
Deadline for submission of texts: 1st September 2018.

Исследователи, работающие в области религии и фольклора народов мира и не владеющие славянскими языками, мало знакомы со славянским язычеством, мифологией и религией. Если и были опубликованы на французском и английском языках крупные исследования в области фольклора, то комплексные исследования, касающиеся именно язычества, очень редки и были изданы давно.
Французское издательство LINGVA (www.lingva.fr) хотело бы исправить данное положение и опубликовать сборник статей на английском языке.
Статья принимается на рассмотрение, если она соответствует следующим критериям:
– она должна быть написана на английском языке;
– она не должна быть ранее опубликована на английском языке (но она может быть опубликована на другом языке);
– она должна в первую очередь касаться славянской языческой мифологии и религии, может содержать сведения о фольклоре, но только при условии использования древних источников;
Принимаются также на рассмотрение статьи, базирующиеся на археологических находках.
Статьи о неоязычестве к рассмотрению не принимаются.
Объем статьи может быть любым, иллюстрации приветствуются. К статье должны прилагаться краткое резюме и слова-ссылки на английском языке и на другом языке по выбору автора.
После выхода сборника в свет каждый автор получит экземпляр сборника и файл pdf, содержащий его статью.
Статьи принимаются на рассмотрение до 1 сентября 2018 года.

La religion et la mythologie des Slaves païens sont fort mal connus des chercheurs non-slavistes. Si quelques grandes études sur le folklore ont pu être publiées en français ou en anglais, les synthèses concernant le paganisme lui-même sont rares et anciennes.
Les éditions françaises Lingva (www.lingva.fr) souhaiteraient tenter de remédier à cela en publiant un recueil d’essais récents en anglais.
Pour être acceptés, ces articles devront répondre à une série de critères :
– ils doivent être rédigés en anglais ;
– ils doivent être inédits en anglais (mais ils peuvent avoir été publiés auparavant dans une autre langue) ;
– ils doivent concerner en premier lieu la religion et la mythologie des Slaves païens. Il est bien sûr possible de faire appel au folklore, mais seulement dans la mesure où celui-ci conforte des données anciennes ;
– les textes basés sur des découvertes archéologiques sont les bienvenus ;
– toute forme de néo-paganisme est exclue.
Il n’y a pas de limite de taille et l’iconographie est la bienvenue. Les textes devront être accompagnés d’un résumé et de mots-clés en anglais et dans la langue du choix de l’auteur.
Chaque auteur recevra un exemplaire du livre et le fichier pdf de son article.
Date limite de soumission des textes : 1er septembre 2018.
